  • 0.75 cup Sugar
  • 0.5 cup Butter Softened
  • 3 Eggs
  • 1 tsp Almond Extract

Preparation Steps

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9-inch cake pan.
  • In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  • Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the almond extract.
  • In a separate bowl, combine the almond flour and baking powder. Gradually add to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  • Pour batter into the prepared pan and sprinkle with sliced almonds.
  • Bake for 40-45 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  • Let cool in the pan for 10 minutes before inverting onto a wire rack to cool completely.
