Preparation Steps
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
Add the buttermilk and vanilla extract, mixing well.
Gradually add the flour and baking soda, stirring until just combined.
Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
Bake for 10 minutes or until the edges are golden.
