  • 6 chicken pieces Chicken pieces
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil
  • 1 cup Onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1 cup Chicken broth
  • 1 cup Heavy cream
  • 0.5 teaspoon Dried thyme
  • 0.5 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.25 teaspoon Black pepper

Preparation Steps

  • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Season chicken with salt and pepper.
  • Add chicken to the skillet and cook until browned on all sides, about 5-7 minutes. Remove chicken from skillet and set aside.
  • Add onion to the skillet and cook until softened, about 3 minutes. Add garlic and cook for 1 minute more.
  • Pour in chicken broth and scrape up any browned bits from the bottom of the skillet.
  • Return chicken to the skillet. Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 30 minutes, or until chicken is cooked through.
  • Stir in heavy cream and thyme. Simmer for another 5 minutes, or until sauce has thickened slightly.
  • Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley (optional).

Notes

Serve with mashed potatoes or rice for a complete meal.
