Baked Apples

Baked apples topped with oats, cinnamon, and brown sugar. A simple, healthy dessert perfect for a cool evening.

  • 2 large apples cut in half, cored
  • 2 tbsp butter melted
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar unpacked
  • 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 4 tbsp quick oats
  • 0.125 tsp cinnamon pinch

Instructions
 

Preparation Steps

  • Preheat oven to 350ºF.
  • Cut apples in half and remove core and seeds with a small paring knife or spoon.
  • In a small bowl, combine melted butter, brown sugar, flour, oats, and cinnamon. Spoon mixture on top of each apple half.
  • Place apples on a cookie sheet and bake for 30 minutes until tender.
  • Serve warm, optionally with a scoop of ice cream.
