Baked Pears

These baked pears are a simple yet elegant dessert. Pears are baked with a touch of brown sugar and cinnamon until tender and slightly caramelized.

  • 4 medium Pears (Bosc or similar)
  • 0.25 cup Brown sugar
  • 0.5 teaspoon Ground cinnamon
  • 2 tablespoons Butter (cubed)

Preparation Steps

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Wash and core the pears. Place them in a baking dish.
  • In a small bowl, mix together brown sugar and cinnamon. Sprinkle over the pears.
  • Dot the pears with butter.
  • Bake for 30 minutes, or until the pears are tender.
  • Let cool slightly before serving.

Notes

Serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or a dollop of whipped cream for an extra treat!
