Preparation Steps
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9x5 inch loaf pan.
In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the eggs, then stir in the vanilla.
In a separate bowl, combine the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
Fold in the mashed bananas. Pour batter into the prepared pan.
Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Let cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
