Banana Chocolate Chip Bars

These delicious banana chocolate chip bars are easy to make and perfect for a quick snack or dessert. They're moist, flavorful, and everyone loves them!

  • 1.5 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 0.75 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 0.75 cup granulated sugar
  • 0.5 cup packed brown sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 3 ripe bananas, mashed
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup chocolate chips

Preparation Steps

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9x13 inch baking pan.
  • In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
  • In a large bowl, cream together the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  • Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the mashed bananas and vanilla extract.
  • Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  • Stir in the chocolate chips.
  • Pour the batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly.
  • Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  • Let cool completely before cutting into bars and serving.

Notes

These bars are best served at room temperature. You can store them in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days.
