Beef Chili

A hearty and flavorful beef chili, perfect for a chilly evening. This recipe is easy to make and packed with delicious flavors.

  • 1 pound Ground Beef
  • 1 medium Onion chopped
  • 2 cloves Garlic minced
  • 1 tablespoon Chili Powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon Cumin
  • 1 teaspoon Oregano
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon Black Pepper
  • 1 can Diced Tomatoes (14.5 oz)
  • 1 can Kidney Beans (15 oz), drained and rinsed
  • 1 can Pinto Beans (15 oz), drained and rinsed
  • 1 cup Beef Broth

Preparation Steps

  • In a large pot or Dutch oven, brown the ground beef over medium-high heat. Drain off any excess grease.
  • Add the onion and garlic to the pot and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
  • Stir in the chili powder, cumin, oregano, salt, and pepper.
  • Add the diced tomatoes, kidney beans, pinto beans, and beef broth. Stir to combine.
  • Bring the chili to a simmer, then reduce the heat and cover. Simmer for at least 45 minutes, or up to 1 hour, stirring occasionally.
  • Serve hot with your favorite toppings, such as shredded cheese, sour cream, and chopped green onions.
