Beef Stir-Fry Recipe

A quick and delicious beef stir-fry recipe perfect for a weeknight meal. Tender beef strips are stir-fried with colorful vegetables in a savory sauce.

  • 1 lb Beef sirloin, thinly sliced Against the grain
  • 1 cup Broccoli florets
  • 1 cup Sliced carrots
  • 0.5 cup Sliced bell peppers Any color
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp Soy sauce Low sodium
  • 1 tbsp Sesame oil
  • 1 tbsp Cornstarch
  • 0.25 cup Water

Preparation Steps

  • In a bowl, whisk together soy sauce, sesame oil, cornstarch, and water. Set aside.
  • Heat a large skillet or wok over high heat. Add beef and stir-fry until browned, about 3-4 minutes. Remove beef and set aside.
  • Add garlic, broccoli, carrots, and bell peppers to the skillet and stir-fry until tender-crisp, about 5-7 minutes.
  • Return beef to the skillet. Pour sauce over beef and vegetables and stir-fry until sauce has thickened, about 1-2 minutes.
  • Serve immediately over rice or noodles.

Notes

Garnish with sesame seeds and chopped green onions, if desired.
