  • 12 slices bread preferably day-old
  • 1.5 cups milk
  • 8 large eggs
  • 1 cup blueberries fresh or frozen
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 0.5 cup maple syrup plus extra for serving

Preparation Steps

  • Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a baking dish.
  • Cut the bread slices into cubes and spread them evenly in the prepared baking dish.

  • In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, vanilla extract, and maple syrup. Pour the mixture evenly over the bread cubes.

Notes

You can prepare this casserole the night before and refrigerate overnight. Simply bake in the morning for a hassle-free breakfast!
