Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Spray a pie dish with cooking spray to prevent sticking.
Steam the chopped broccoli florets in the microwave with 1 tablespoon of water until tender crisp and green but not mushy, about 2.5 to 3 minutes.
Evenly spread the steamed broccoli in the prepared pie dish and sprinkle the grated cheddar cheese over the broccoli.
