Cabbage Roll Skillet

A comforting and easy one-pan cabbage roll skillet recipe that delivers all the flavors of traditional cabbage rolls with minimal effort. This simplified version features ground beef, cabbage, tomatoes, and rice, all cooked together for a delicious and satisfying meal.

  • 1 pound Ground beef
  • 1 medium head Cabbage, shredded
  • 1 cup Cooked rice
  • 28 ounce Crushed tomatoes
  • 1 tablespoon Olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon Dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon Dried basil
  • 0.5 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.25 teaspoon Black pepper

Preparation Steps

  • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add ground beef and cook, breaking it up with a spoon, until browned. Drain off any excess grease.
  • Add shredded cabbage to the skillet and cook until it begins to soften, about 5 minutes.
  • Stir in crushed tomatoes, cooked rice, oregano, basil, salt, and pepper. Bring to a simmer.
  • Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 15-20 minutes, or until the cabbage is tender and the flavors have melded. Stir occasionally.
  • Serve hot and enjoy!

Feel free to add a sprinkle of shredded cheese on top before serving for extra flavor.
