These cheesy garlic biscuits are soft, savory, and perfect alongside any meal. They're easy to make and packed with flavor!

Ingredients

  • 2.5 cups all-purpose flour plus more for dusting
  • 4 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 0.5 cup cold unsalted butter cut into cubes
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese shredded
  • 1 cup milk

Garlic Butter Topping

  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter melted
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 0.5 tsp dried parsley

Preparation Steps

  • Preheat oven to 450°F (232°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt. Cut in cold butter using a pastry blender or your fingers until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  • Stir in cheddar cheese. Gradually add milk, mixing until just combined. Do not overmix.
  • Drop rounded spoonfuls of dough onto the prepared baking sheet.
  • Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown.
  • While biscuits are baking, prepare the garlic butter topping. In a small bowl, combine melted butter, minced garlic, and dried parsley.
  • Brush the tops of the warm biscuits with garlic butter topping. Serve immediately.

Notes

For extra flavor, add a pinch of cayenne pepper to the dry ingredients. Biscuits are best served warm.
