Cheesy taco rice

This cheesy taco rice is a quick and easy one-pan meal, perfect for busy weeknights! It's packed with flavor from seasoned ground beef, taco seasoning, and melty cheese, all mixed with fluffy rice. A family favorite!

  • 1 pound Ground beef
  • 1 cup Onion, chopped
  • 1 packet Taco seasoning
  • 2 cups Water
  • 1 cup Rice, uncooked
  • 2 cups Shredded cheddar cheese

Preparation Steps

  • In a large skillet, brown ground beef over medium-high heat. Drain off any excess grease.
  • Add onion and cook until softened, about 3-5 minutes.
  • Stir in taco seasoning and water. Bring to a boil.
  • Add rice, stir, and reduce heat to low. Cover and simmer for 20 minutes, or until rice is cooked and water is absorbed.
  • Remove from heat and stir in cheese. Let it melt.
  • Serve immediately and garnish with your favorite taco toppings.
