Cherry Cobbler Recipe

A warm and comforting cherry cobbler with a sweet and tangy filling, topped with a golden brown biscuit topping.

Ingredients
  

Cobbler Filling

  • 4 cups Pitted Cherries Fresh or frozen
  • 1 cup Granulated Sugar
  • 2 tablespoons Cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon Lemon Juice

Biscuit Topping

  • 1 cup All-Purpose Flour
  • 2 tablespoons Granulated Sugar
  • 1.5 teaspoons Baking Powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.5 cup Cold Butter Cut into cubes
  • 0.5 cup Milk

Preparation Steps

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • In a large bowl, combine cherries, sugar, cornstarch, and lemon juice. Pour into a 9-inch baking dish.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. Cut in cold butter using a pastry blender or your fingers until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Stir in milk until just combined.
  • Drop spoonfuls of the biscuit dough over the cherry filling.
  • Bake for 35-40 minutes, or until the topping is golden brown and the filling is bubbly.
  • Let cool slightly before serving.

Notes

Serve warm with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream for an extra special treat!
