Chicken and Ham Pie

A delicious and comforting chicken and ham pie, perfect for a family dinner. This recipe features a creamy filling encased in a golden, flaky crust.

  • 1.5 lb Boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 0.5 lb Cooked ham, diced
  • 1 cup Frozen peas
  • 1 cup Chicken broth
  • 0.25 cup All-purpose flour
  • 0.5 cup Heavy cream
  • 1 sheet Puff pastry, thawed
  • 1 each Egg for egg wash
  • 0.25 tsp Salt
  • 0.25 tsp Black pepper

Preparation Steps

  • Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • Cook chicken breasts in a pan with salt and pepper until cooked through. Shred the chicken.
  • In the same pan, add flour and cook for 1 minute, then gradually whisk in chicken broth. Bring to a simmer.
  • Stir in heavy cream, peas, chicken and ham.
  • Pour the chicken mixture into a baking dish. Top with puff pastry.
  • Whisk egg and brush over the pastry. Bake for 30-40 minutes, or until golden brown.

Notes

Serve hot and enjoy! This pie is even better the next day.
