Chicken Cordon Bleu Meatloaf

A delicious and comforting meatloaf with a twist! This Chicken Cordon Bleu Meatloaf combines the classic flavors of chicken cordon bleu in an easy-to-make meatloaf. Perfect for a weeknight dinner.

  • 1.5 pounds Ground Chicken
  • 1 cup Bread Crumbs
  • 0.5 cup Milk
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon Black Pepper
  • 0.25 cup Diced Onion
  • 8 slices Swiss Cheese
  • 8 slices Ham

For the Sauce

  • 0.25 cup Butter
  • 0.25 cup Flour
  • 2 cups Chicken Broth
  • 0.5 cup Heavy Cream
  • 0.25 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.25 teaspoon Black Pepper

Preparation Steps

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • In a large bowl, combine ground chicken, bread crumbs, milk, salt, pepper, and onion.
  • On a baking sheet, form the meat mixture into a loaf.
  • Make a pocket in the middle of the loaf and layer Swiss cheese and ham.
  • Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until cooked through.
  • While the meatloaf is baking, make the sauce: melt butter in a saucepan, whisk in flour. Gradually whisk in chicken broth and bring to a simmer. Stir in heavy cream, salt, and pepper.
  • Serve meatloaf with the sauce.
