Chicken Noodle Soup Recipe

A comforting and classic chicken noodle soup perfect for chilly days. Made with tender chicken, vegetables, and egg noodles.

  • 1 lb Boneless, skinless chicken breasts cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 8 cups Chicken broth low sodium
  • 1 cup Carrots chopped
  • 1 cup Celery chopped
  • 1 cup Onion chopped
  • 8 oz Egg noodles
  • 2 tsp Salt or to taste
  • 1 tsp Black pepper or to taste
  • 1 tsp Dried thyme

Preparation Steps

  • In a large pot or Dutch oven, combine chicken broth, carrots, celery, and onion. Bring to a boil.
  • Add chicken and thyme. Reduce heat and simmer for 15 minutes, or until chicken is cooked through.
  • Stir in egg noodles and cook for 8-10 minutes, or until noodles are tender.
  • Season with salt and pepper to taste. Serve hot.

Notes

For a richer flavor, use homemade chicken broth. You can also add other vegetables like peas or corn.
