Instructions
Preparation Steps
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
In a large bowl, beat together the softened cream cheese and butter until smooth.
Add the granulated sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla extract; mix until well combined.
Beat in the egg until just incorporated.
In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
Fold in the chocolate chips.
Scoop tablespoon-sized balls of dough onto prepared baking sheets, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown.
Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheets for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
