  • 2.5 cups All-Purpose Flour plus more for dusting
  • 0.5 cup Sugar
  • 2.5 tsp Baking Powder
  • 0.5 tsp Salt
  • 0.5 cup Cold Butter cut into cubes
  • 1 cup Heavy Cream
  • 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
  • 1 cup Chocolate Chips

Preparation Steps

  • Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  • Cut in cold butter using a pastry blender or your fingers until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together heavy cream and vanilla extract. Pour into the dry ingredients and mix until just combined.
  • Gently fold in chocolate chips.
  • Turn dough out onto a lightly floured surface and pat into a 1-inch thick circle. Cut into 8 wedges.
  • Place scones on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 18-20 minutes, or until golden brown.
  • Let cool slightly before serving.
