Instructions
Preparation Steps
Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
Cut in cold butter using a pastry blender or your fingers until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
In a separate bowl, whisk together heavy cream and vanilla extract. Pour into the dry ingredients and mix until just combined.
Gently fold in chocolate chips.
Turn dough out onto a lightly floured surface and pat into a 1-inch thick circle. Cut into 8 wedges.
Place scones on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 18-20 minutes, or until golden brown.
Let cool slightly before serving.
