chocolate malt bar

A creamy no bake chocolate malt bar with an Oreo crust and malt filling, perfect for dessert or a quick snack.

Ingredients

  • 1.5 cup crushed Oreo cookies
  • 4 tablespoon unsalted butter melted
  • 18 count regular marshmallows
  • 0.5 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 0.25 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 8 oz cream cheese room temperature
  • 0.75 cup confectioners sugar
  • 0.75 cup chocolate malt powder
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 1 cup crushed malted milk balls (like Whoppers)

Instructions
 

Preparation Steps

  • Line an 8x8 inch baking dish with parchment paper, including up the sides.
  • In a bowl, combine cookie crumbs and melted butter; press into the bottom of the pan and chill.
  • Melt butter with marshmallows, chocolate chips and salt until smooth; cool slightly.
  • Beat cream cheese, confectioners sugar, malt powder, and vanilla until smooth.
  • Whip heavy cream until stiff peaks; fold into cream cheese mixture.
  • Fold marshmallow mixture into whipped cream mixture.
  • Spread filling over crust and chill 3 to 4 hours until firm.

Notes

These no bake bars are creamy, chocolatey, and perfect for a quick dessert. Store in the refrigerator up to 5 days.
