A festive and fun Christmas Funfetti Cake perfect for holiday celebrations!

Ingredients
  

Cake

  • 2.5 cups All-purpose flour
  • 1.5 cups Granulated sugar
  • 3.5 tsp Baking powder
  • 0.5 tsp Salt
  • 0.75 cup Unsalted butter, softened
  • 1.5 cups Whole milk
  • 1.5 tsp Vanilla extract
  • 0.5 cup Sprinkles

Frosting

  • 1 cup Unsalted butter, softened
  • 4 cups Powdered sugar
  • 0.25 cup Heavy cream
  • 1 tsp Vanilla extract
  • 0.25 cup Sprinkles For decoration

Preparation Steps

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans.
  • In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  • Add butter, milk, and vanilla extract to the dry ingredients. Beat with an electric mixer until just combined. Stir in sprinkles.
  • Pour batter evenly into prepared pans. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  • Let cakes cool in pans for 10 minutes before inverting onto a wire rack to cool completely.
  • While cakes are cooling, prepare the frosting. In a large bowl, beat butter until light and fluffy. Gradually add powdered sugar, beating until smooth.
  • Add heavy cream and vanilla extract. Beat until light and fluffy. Frost cooled cakes and decorate with sprinkles.
