  • 1 box vanilla cake mix about 15 ounces
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 cup sugar divided
  • 1 cup butter melted
  • 1 cup powdered sugar for glaze

Preparation Steps

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9x13-inch baking dish.
  • In a large bowl, combine cake mix, milk, eggs, and half of the sugar. Mix until well blended.
  • Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  • In a small bowl, mix remaining sugar with cinnamon. Once the cake is done, poke holes all over the cake using a fork or skewer.
  • Pour the melted butter over the cake, followed by the cinnamon sugar mixture. Let it soak.
  • For the glaze, mix powdered sugar with a few tablespoons of milk until smooth. Drizzle over the cooled cake.

Notes

Ensure the cake is completely cooled before drizzling the glaze for the best results.
