Instructions
Preparation Steps
In a large bowl, combine apples, granulated sugar, brown sugar, cornstarch, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
Gently toss to coat the apples evenly.
Add lemon juice and butter. Stir to combine.
Pour the apple mixture into a saucepan.
Cook over medium heat, stirring frequently, until the apples soften and the sauce thickens (about 10-15 minutes).
Remove from heat and let cool before using.
