Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9x13 inch baking pan.
In a large bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.

In a separate bowl, combine melted butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar. Beat until smooth.

Beat in eggs one at a time, then stir in vanilla extract and espresso powder.

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, alternating with hot coffee, beginning and ending with dry ingredients. Mix until just combined.

Pour batter into prepared pan and spread evenly.
Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with moist crumbs attached.
Let cool completely before cutting into squares.

These brownies are best served warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
