Cranberry bliss bars

Delicious cranberry bliss bars with a white chocolate frosting.

  • 1.5 cup all-purpose flour
  • 0.5 teaspoon baking powder
  • 0.25 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 cup unsalted butter cold, cubed
  • 0.75 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 0.75 cup dried cranberries
  • 0.5 cup white chocolate chips
  • 0.25 cup orange zest

Frosting Ingredients

  • 4 ounce cream cheese softened
  • 0.5 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 0.25 cup white chocolate chips melted

Preparation Steps

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a 8x8 inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  • In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.
  • In a separate bowl, cream together butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in egg and vanilla.
  • Gradually add dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  • Stir in cranberries, white chocolate chips, and orange zest.
  • Press dough into prepared pan and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until edges are golden brown.
  • Let cool completely before frosting.
  • For the frosting, beat cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth. Fold in melted white chocolate.
  • Spread frosting over cooled bars and cut into squares.
