Crispy Chicken Burger

This crispy chicken burger is a real treat! Perfectly seasoned chicken, crispy on the outside and juicy inside, served on a toasted bun with all the fixings.

Ingredients
  

Main Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 0.25 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 2 large eggs
  • 0.5 cup milk
  • 2 cups panko breadcrumbs
  • 0.5 cup vegetable oil
  • 4 burger buns
  • lettuce leaves
  • tomato slices
  • mayonnaise
  • mustard

Instructions
 

Prepare the Chicken

  • Season chicken breasts with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika.
  • In a shallow dish, whisk together eggs and milk.
  • In another shallow dish, place flour. In a third shallow dish, place panko breadcrumbs.
  • Dredge each chicken breast in flour, then dip in egg mixture, and finally coat with panko breadcrumbs.

Cook the Chicken

  • Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  • Carefully place chicken breasts in the hot oil and cook for 5-7 minutes per side, or until golden brown and cooked through.
  • Remove chicken from skillet and place on a plate lined with paper towels to drain excess oil.

Assemble the Burgers

  • Toast burger buns, if desired.
  • Spread mayonnaise and mustard on the buns.
  • Place a crispy chicken breast on the bottom bun. Top with lettuce and tomato. Add the top bun and serve.

Notes

Serve with your favorite sides, like french fries or coleslaw!
