Eggnog Truffles

These decadent eggnog truffles are the perfect festive treat! Creamy eggnog ganache coated in a rich chocolate shell. Easy to make and always a crowd-pleaser.

  • 12 oz Semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup Heavy cream
  • 0.5 cup Eggnog
  • 0.25 tsp Ground nutmeg
  • 1 cup Chocolate melting wafers

Preparation Steps

  • In a heatproof bowl set over a saucepan of simmering water (or in the microwave), melt the chocolate chips. Stir until smooth.
  • Heat the heavy cream and eggnog in a small saucepan over medium heat until simmering. Remove from heat and stir in the nutmeg.
  • Pour the warm eggnog mixture over the melted chocolate and stir until smooth and glossy. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or until firm enough to roll.
  • Using a small scoop or spoon, roll the chocolate mixture into 1-inch balls. Place on a parchment-lined baking sheet and refrigerate for another 30 minutes.
  • Melt the chocolate wafers according to package directions. Dip each truffle into the melted chocolate, coating completely. Place back on the parchment paper to set.
  • Let the truffles set completely before serving.

Notes

For an extra touch, sprinkle with a dash of nutmeg or a sprinkle of edible gold dust before the chocolate sets.
