French Onion Beef and Noodles

A hearty and flavorful recipe featuring tender beef, caramelized onions, and egg noodles in a rich broth.

  • 1.5 lbs Beef stew meat
  • 3 cups Yellow onion, thinly sliced
  • 8 oz Egg noodles
  • 4 cups Beef broth
  • 2 tbsp Olive oil
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 0.5 tsp Black pepper

Preparation Steps

  • Heat olive oil in a large pot or Dutch oven over medium-high heat. Add beef and cook until browned on all sides.
  • Add onions and cook until caramelized, about 20 minutes.
  • Stir in beef broth, salt, and pepper. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 30 minutes, or until beef is tender.
  • Add egg noodles and cook according to package directions.
  • Serve hot.

Notes

This recipe can be easily doubled or tripled to feed a larger crowd. Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
