French Silk Pie Recipe

A rich and decadent French Silk Pie recipe, perfect for any occasion. This recipe features a creamy chocolate filling and a buttery, flaky crust.

  • 1 cup graham cracker crumbs
  • 0.5 cup sugar
  • 0.25 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 14 ounces semi-sweet chocolate
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Preparation Steps

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Combine graham cracker crumbs, sugar, and melted butter. Press into the bottom of a 9-inch pie plate.
  • Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until lightly golden.
  • Melt chocolate in a double boiler or microwave. Set aside to cool slightly.
  • In a separate bowl, beat powdered sugar and heavy cream until soft peaks form.
  • In another bowl, whisk together eggs and vanilla extract.
  • Gradually add the melted chocolate to the whipped cream, mixing until smooth.
  • Gently fold in the egg mixture.
  • Pour the filling into the baked pie crust.
  • Refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or preferably overnight, before serving.

Notes

For a richer flavor, use dark chocolate instead of semi-sweet. Garnish with whipped cream and chocolate shavings before serving.
