Garlic Butter Shrimp

Quick and easy garlic butter shrimp recipe! Ready in under 20 minutes, this dish is perfect as an appetizer or a main course. Tender shrimp are coated in a flavorful garlic butter sauce.

  • 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 0.25 cup dry white wine optional
  • 0.25 cup chopped fresh parsley
  • teaspoon red pepper flakes optional, for heat
  • teaspoon salt to taste
  • teaspoon black pepper to taste

Preparation Steps

  • Melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
  • Add minced garlic and red pepper flakes (if using) and cook for 30 seconds, or until fragrant.
  • Add shrimp and cook for 2-3 minutes per side, or until pink and cooked through.
  • If using white wine, add it to the skillet and let it simmer for 1 minute.
  • Stir in parsley, salt, and pepper.
  • Serve immediately.
