For the Chicken

  • 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts (about 1.5 lbs)
  • ½ cup 0.12 lb grated Parmesan cheese
  • ½ cup 0.12 lb panko breadcrumbs (or regular breadcrumbs)
  • 2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons 0.1 lb olive oil
  • 1 large egg

Instructions
 

Step 1: Preheat the Oven

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it with cooking spray.

Step 2: Prepare the Garlic Parmesan Coating

  • In a shallow dish, mix the Parmesan cheese, panko breadcrumbs, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.

Step 3: Prepare the Chicken

  • In another shallow dish, whisk the egg with 1 tablespoon of olive oil.
  • Dip each chicken breast into the egg mixture, making sure it’s well coated.
  • Dredge the chicken in the Parmesan breadcrumb mixture, pressing gently to adhere the coating.

Step 4: Bake the Chicken

  • Place the coated chicken breasts on the prepared baking sheet. Drizzle the remaining 1 tablespoon of olive oil over the tops of the chicken for extra crispiness.
  • Bake for 25–30 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and the coating is golden brown (internal temperature should reach 165°F/74°C).

Step 5: Serve and Enjoy

  • Remove the chicken from the oven and let it rest for a few minutes.
  • Garnish with chopped parsley and serve with lemon wedges for a fresh burst of flavor.
