Instructions
Preparation Steps
In a medium saucepan, combine evaporated milk, sugar, butter, and egg yolks.
Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until thickened, about 5-7 minutes.
Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract, coconut, and pecans.
Let cool slightly before frosting cake.
Notes
Best when used immediately after cooling slightly. Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator.
