Gingerbread Pancakes

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 0.5 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 0.25 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 1 tablespoon molasses
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 egg egg
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter

Preparation Steps

  • In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, salt, ginger, cinnamon, and cloves.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together molasses, milk, egg, and melted butter.
  • Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and gently mix until just combined.
  • Heat a lightly oiled griddle or frying pan over medium heat.
  • Pour 1/4 cup of batter onto the hot griddle for each pancake.
  • Cook for 2-3 minutes per side, or until golden brown and cooked through.
  • Serve immediately with your favorite toppings.

Notes

These pancakes are best served fresh off the griddle. Enjoy!
