  • 0.5 cup brown sugar
  • 0.5 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups chocolate chips

Preparation Steps

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugars until light and fluffy.
  • Beat in the vanilla extract.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
  • Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Stir in chocolate chips.
  • Chill for at least 30 minutes before serving.

Notes

Store leftover cookie dough in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
