Instructions
Preparation Steps
Preheat the grill to high heat.
Prepare dough on a lightly floured surface and shape it into a flat pizza base.
Brush the hot grill grates with olive oil to prevent sticking.
Slide the pizza dough directly onto the grill and close the lid. Grill dough for 2 to 3 minutes until the bottom is browned.
Check dough for even browning and grill for an additional minute if needed.
Remove dough from grill with tongs and place it back on a flat surface with the browned side facing up.
Brush the top of the dough with olive oil and spread cream cheese over the surface.
Layer 1 cup mozzarella cheese, sliced red onions, shredded chicken, and mushrooms evenly over the cream cheese.
Sprinkle the remaining mozzarella cheese on top of the toppings.
Place the pizza back on the grill, reduce heat to medium-high, and close the lid.
Grill the pizza for 3 to 4 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
Remove pizza from grill and let it rest for a minute before slicing and serving.
Notes
For a smoky flavor, try using smoked mozzarella or adding fresh herbs like basil after grilling.
