Instructions
Preparation Steps
Brown ground beef in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Drain off any excess grease.
Add onion and mushrooms to the skillet and cook until softened.
Stir in flour, salt, and pepper. Cook for 1 minute.
Gradually whisk in beef broth and Worcestershire sauce. Bring to a simmer.
Reduce heat and simmer for 5 minutes, or until sauce has thickened.
Stir in sour cream. Heat through. Serve over noodles or rice.
Notes
For a richer flavor, use a combination of ground beef and ground chuck. You can also add other vegetables, such as carrots or peas.
