Guinness Brownies Irish Cream Frosting

Rich and decadent Guinness brownies topped with a creamy Irish cream frosting. Perfect for St. Patrick's Day or any chocolate lover's treat!

Ingredients
  

Brownies

  • 1 cup Unsalted Butter melted
  • 1 cup Granulated Sugar
  • 0.75 cup Unsweetened Cocoa Powder
  • 0.5 cup Guinness Stout
  • 2 large Eggs
  • 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
  • 0.75 cup All-Purpose Flour
  • 0.25 tsp Salt

Irish Cream Frosting

  • 0.5 cup Unsalted Butter softened
  • 3 cup Powdered Sugar
  • 3 tbsp Irish Cream Liqueur
  • 1 tbsp Milk

Instructions
 

Brownie Preparation

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour an 8x8 inch baking pan.
  • In a large bowl, combine melted butter, sugar, and cocoa powder. Stir until smooth.
  • Stir in Guinness stout, eggs, and vanilla extract.
  • Gradually add flour and salt, mixing until just combined. Do not overmix.
  • Pour batter into the prepared pan and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with moist crumbs.
  • Let cool completely before frosting.

Frosting Preparation

  • In a medium bowl, beat softened butter with an electric mixer until creamy.
  • Gradually add powdered sugar, beating until light and fluffy.
  • Stir in Irish cream liqueur and milk until smooth.
  • Frost cooled brownies and enjoy!

Notes

For a more intense Guinness flavor, you can reduce the stout to 1/4 cup and add 1/4 cup of strong brewed coffee.
