Homemade Baked Beans

  • 1 cup Dried kidney beans
  • 1 large Onion chopped
  • 2 cloves Garlic minced

  • 1 cup Ketchup
  • 0.5 cup Brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Mustard
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon Black pepper

Preparation Steps

  • Rinse and soak the kidney beans overnight.
  • In a large pot, sauté the onion and garlic in olive oil until softened.
  • Add the drained beans, ketchup, brown sugar, mustard, salt, and pepper. Stir well.
  • Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 2 hours, or until beans are tender.
