Irish potato pie
A savory pie with a flaky crust filled with seasoned mashed potatoes and sometimes meat.

Main Ingredients
- 3 pounds Potatoes, peeled and quartered
- 0.5 cup Butter
- 0.5 cup Milk
- 1 teaspoon Salt
- 0.5 teaspoon Black pepper
- 1 pound Ground beef (optional)
- 1 onion Onion, chopped (optional)
- 2 tablespoons Flour (optional)
- 1 box Pie crust
Preparation Steps
Boil potatoes until tender, drain and mash.
Add butter, milk, salt, and pepper to mashed potatoes.
If using ground beef, brown with onion; drain fat and add flour.
Line pie dish with crust, add mashed potatoes (and meat mixture if using).
Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 45 minutes.
