Jalapeno Cheddar Pretzels
Delicious homemade pretzels filled with the spicy kick of jalapenos and the rich flavor of cheddar cheese.

Instructions
Preparation Steps
In a small bowl, dissolve yeast and sugar in warm water. Let it sit until frothy, about 5 minutes.
In a large bowl, combine flour, salt, and melted butter. Add yeast mixture and mix until a dough forms.
Knead the dough on a floured surface until smooth, about 8 minutes. Place in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise until doubled in size, about 1 hour.
Preheat oven to 450°F (232°C). Divide the dough into eight pieces. Roll each piece into a rope and shape into a pretzel.
Sprinkle each pretzel with cheddar cheese and jalapenos, pressing gently to adhere.
Place pretzels on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake for 12-15 minutes until golden brown.
Notes
For extra flavor, serve with a side of spicy mustard.
