Jelly Doughnuts Recipe

A delicious recipe for homemade jelly doughnuts, perfect for a weekend treat.

  • 2.5 cups All-purpose flour
  • 0.5 cup Granulated sugar
  • 2.5 teaspoons Baking powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 cup Milk
  • 1 egg Egg
  • 0.5 cup Melted butter
  • 1 cup Jelly

Preparation Steps

  • Whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together milk, egg, and melted butter.
  • Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and mix until just combined.
  • Heat oil in a deep fryer to 375°F (190°C).
  • Drop spoonfuls of batter into the hot oil and fry until golden brown, about 1-2 minutes per side.
  • Drain on paper towels.
  • Fill with jelly using a piping bag or ziploc bag with a corner snipped off.

Notes

These doughnuts are best served fresh. Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature.
