Key Lime Pie Bars

These Key Lime Pie Bars are a creamy and tart treat, perfect for any dessert lover!

Ingredients

  • 1.5 cups graham cracker crumbs about 12 whole crackers
  • 0.5 cups granulated sugar
  • 0.5 cups unsalted butter melted
  • 2 cans sweetened condensed milk (14 oz each)
  • 0.5 cups key lime juice fresh or bottled
  • 2 tablespoons lime zest finely grated
  • 4 large egg yolks room temperature

Preparation Steps

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.
  • In a medium bowl, mix together graham cracker crumbs and sugar. Stir in melted butter until well blended. Press mixture into the prepared baking dish.
  • Bake in preheated oven for 10 minutes. Remove and let cool slightly.
  • In a large bowl, whisk together sweetened condensed milk, lime juice, lime zest, and egg yolks until smooth.
  • Pour lime mixture over the crust in the baking dish and spread evenly.
  • Bake in preheated oven for 15 minutes, or until set. Chill for at least 2 hours before slicing into bars. Serve chilled.

Notes

These bars can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. For a firmer texture, freeze for 30 minutes before serving.
