This quick Lasagna Dip recipe is so easy to make and ready in less than 30 minutes! A perfect cheesy, beefy appetizer everyone will love.

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 medium yellow onion thinly sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 0.5 cup cremini mushrooms cleaned and sliced
  • 0.5 pounds ground beef
  • 1 cup tomato sauce or spaghetti sauce
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 0.5 teaspoons freeze dried basil
  • 8 ounces cream cheese softened
  • 0.5 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 0.5 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • servings crackers for serving

Preparation Steps

  • Preheat oven to 375°F.
  • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat and add sliced onion; cook for 3 minutes until softened.
  • Add minced garlic and sliced mushrooms to skillet; cook until mushrooms are tender.
  • Add ground beef, season with salt, pepper, dried oregano, and basil; cook until meat is browned.
  • Stir in tomato sauce and simmer for 3 minutes.
  • Grease a round 8-inch baking dish with butter.
  • Spread softened cream cheese evenly on the bottom of the dish.
  • Layer the meat mixture over the cream cheese, then sprinkle shredded mozzarella and cheddar cheese on top.
  • Bake in preheated oven for 15 to 20 minutes, or until hot and bubbly.
  • Serve warm with crackers.
