Linguine with Clams Recipe

A delicious and easy linguine with clams recipe, perfect for a weeknight dinner. This recipe uses fresh clams for maximum flavor.

  • 1 pound linguine pasta
  • 2 pounds littleneck clams, scrubbed
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 0.5 cup dry white wine
  • 0.25 cup chopped fresh parsley
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 0.5 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon black pepper

Preparation Steps

  • Cook linguine according to package directions.
  • While pasta cooks, heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add garlic and red pepper flakes and cook until fragrant (about 30 seconds).
  • Add clams and white wine to the pot. Cover and cook until clams open, about 5-7 minutes. Discard any clams that do not open.
  • Drain pasta and add it to the pot with the clams. Toss to combine.
  • Stir in parsley, salt, and pepper. Serve immediately.

Notes

For extra flavor, add a squeeze of lemon juice before serving.
