  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese sharp or mild
  • 1 cup milk whole or skim
  • 0.5 cup sour cream for extra creaminess
  • 1 tbsp butter unsalted
  • 1 tsp salt to taste
  • 1 tsp black pepper freshly ground
  • 2 tbsp jalapeño chopped, optional for spice

Preparation Steps

  • Cook the macaroni according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  • In a large saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the milk and sour cream; stir until well blended.
  • Gradually add the cheese, stirring continuously until melted and smooth.
