  • 1.5 pounds Ground Beef
  • 1 tablespoon Olive Oil
  • 1 cup Onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1 cup Beef Broth
  • 0.5 cup Mississippi Sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire Sauce
  • 0.5 teaspoon Black Pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon Onion Powder
  • 8 count Hamburger Buns

Preparation Steps

  • In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add ground beef and cook, breaking it up with a spoon, until browned. Drain off any excess grease.
  • Add chopped onion and minced garlic to the skillet and cook for about 5 minutes, until softened.
  • Transfer the ground beef mixture to a slow cooker. Stir in beef broth, Mississippi sauce, Worcestershire sauce, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
  • Cook on low for 4-6 hours or on high for 2-3 hours, or until the sauce has thickened.
  • Serve the sloppy joe mixture on hamburger buns.
