  • 1.5 pounds Beef sirloin, thinly sliced
  • 2 tablespoons Cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons Vegetable oil
  • 0.5 cup Soy sauce
  • 0.5 cup Water
  • 0.5 cup Brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon Rice vinegar
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon Ginger, minced
  • 1 bunch Green onions, sliced for garnish

Preparation Steps

  • In a bowl, toss the beef with cornstarch to coat. Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
  • Add the beef to the skillet and cook until browned, about 2-3 minutes per side. Remove beef and set aside.
  • In the same skillet, add soy sauce, water, brown sugar, rice vinegar, garlic, and ginger. Bring to a simmer.
  • Return the beef to the skillet and cook until the sauce has thickened, about 2-3 minutes.
  • Garnish with sliced green onions and serve immediately over cooked rice.
