  • 1 pound cremini mushrooms
  • 0.5 cup chopped onion
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 0.5 cup packed fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 cup Italian bread crumbs
  • 0.5 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 0.25 cup butter, melted

Preparation Steps

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Clean and remove stems from mushrooms. Chop the stems finely.
  • Sauté onion and garlic in butter until softened. Add chopped mushroom stems and cook for 5 minutes.
  • Stir in parsley, bread crumbs, and Parmesan cheese. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Fill each mushroom cap with the mixture. Place in a baking dish and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until heated through and bubbly.

Notes

These stuffed mushrooms are best served warm. You can also add other cheeses, such as mozzarella or provolone, for extra flavor.
