Preparation Steps
Cook macaroni according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Whisk in flour and cook for 1 minute.
Gradually whisk in milk until smooth. Bring to a simmer, stirring constantly.
Reduce heat to low. Add cheddar cheeses, salt, and pepper. Stir until cheese is melted and sauce is smooth.
